Little Cloud In The Valley

The Cozy Cloud Beginnings

When I was younger (like a couple of years ago), I used to be all about layers of foundation, tight pants, and heels. It’s not that I’m not into those things anymore, I just think I tend to be lazier nowadays? Or maybe I care less? Honestly, more than anything else, I think my boyfriend has rubbed off on me. We've been together for a couple of years now and he’s all about comfort and practicality. So now so am I (emphasis on comfort, not so much the practical part). I’ve come to appreciate the feeling of pure coziness and now prioritize it in everyday life.

This is why I wanted to start Little Cloud in the Valley. I love being cozy and sharing all the ways I like to get cozy. I hope that by writing about #thatcozylife I’ll connect with other cozy-minded individuals and learn about more ways to optimize my life!

The name, Little Cloud in the Valley, came about while I was on my couch one day. Full disclosure: I have the most amazing, comfortable couch ever. It’s from Living Spaces and if I lay on it, I will fall asleep. I’ve had so many great naps on this thing. It's similar to this couch

Anyways, the title is relatively simple in its conception. The Valley refers to, well, Silicon Valley (where I live). The cloud part? Well, clouds look soft and fluffy and comfortable and I happen to own a cloud-like comforter that I like to wrap myself in while I take naps on my magical couch.

This comforter was like a hundred bucks at Bed, Bath, and Beyond and when I brought it home, I thought I needed to give it a wash. Big mistake. It went from being a normal comforter, to a more foamy-esque blanket with a mind of its own (doesn’t like to lay flat on the bed). I was so sad that I had ruined it at first, but then I realized it was still super comfy so I kept it and use it whenever I want to live my best life on the couch.

I felt like sharing this story because I have a lot of respect for my casual comforter (aka “The Cloud”) and thought it deserved it’s own story.
