Living Breezy in Loose Pants
My love for wide-leg bottoms, culottes, and palazzo pants came to fruition a couple of years ago when I found a pair of my mom’s 90’s-era pants in the closet. They are made of a thin silk-like fabric with a lovely dark blue and white print and come up high on the waist. I feel like I’m living my best Miami-style life whenever I put them on. I feel cool and breezy and stylish. Slap on some giant hoop earrings and nothing can stop me in those pants. I’ve worn them so often, a hole formed on my backside - I still wear them, just stitched them up.
Now, I own a wide array of loose pants. I’ve collected a few more from my mom thanks to birthday and Christmas gifts. I found a really fun pair at H&M that are green and pink. I splurged on a pair of comfy denim-esque pants at a store when I visited Christchurch, New Zealand. I also have a reliable black pair from Target.
Why do I love them so? First and foremost, because they are comfortable. They prevent chafing because, well, pants but they allow for air circulation, you know, down there. It’s refreshing, especially in the summertime or after I’ve eaten a big meal. On top of being extremely comfortable, they are also stylish. Slap on some heels and some lipstick, and your outfit looks like you’re Amal Clooney gearing up for an Italian getaway with George.
Are you a fan of comfy bottoms? If so, I’d love to hear about which stores you shop at to find them! I’m always on the lookout for new pants and I’m sure others are, too!
