A Day Under the Sun

Today I had a lovely day date with the BF. Usually our Sundays are for soccer - the BF plays - but this week he didn't have a match so he suggested we go out for one of my favorite activities. Bunch! We grabbed some food, walked around the area for a bit, picked up goodies, and returned home to relax.

For brunch, we went to Village California bistro and wine bar. I got the french toast, the BF got a prawn melon salad, and we split a plate of eggs, a cinnamon roll, country potatoes, and chicken sausage. The french toast was yummy! It came with a strawberry compote that was delicious on its own. And the prawns on the salad were tasty as well - had a citrus kick to them. The rest was decent, but nothing to swoon over. I would share photos of the meals, but I was so hungry by the time the food came, I forgot to take pictures...

Rockin' a dress from ChicWish.com, sandals from Forever 21, and a Coach bag I got as a gift for being a bridesmaid.

Afterwards, we searched for the Hello Kitty Cafe. Yep, a pop-up recently opened in the shopping center and I definitely had to check it out. Ended up getting a sugar cookie and a mini cake with rainbow sprinkles! While writing this, I ate the cookie and it was delish. I'm waiting to eat dinner and then I'll go fork-first into that cake! (I'll try to remember to take a picture and share it on Instagram before I demolish it.)

Before heading home, we stopped by MaiDo to look for some gifts for the BF's family. Found some really cute stuff (can't say what in case, you know, they somehow read this). I also picked up a coin purse that looks just like Ming!

Hanging outside on a sunny day in a cute dress, eating a late breakfast with the BF - today was a good day. Feeling happy and loved. Hope you had a happy Sunday as well!
